Think Spring! But with a twist… what’s blooming in Spring besides flowers…Spring Vegetables of course!

In my mind, I pictured a cake that had sugar cabbages, carrots and beets in an arrangement instead of gumpaste flowers. I also wanted to experiment with wafer paper and had so much fun painting the lettuce leaves that are on the bottom tier and that wrap the cauliflower.

So would these be the most enjoyable veggies you’ve ever had? Perhaps this may be the best diet/low cal cake ever?

This cake has been called Sexy Veggies and Sexy Cabbages by some of my fun cake friends. I hadn’t planned on making my cabbage sexy but I kind of like the ring to it!
