My mother-in-law is 95 yrs young today. Not exactly the prettiest cake I have ever done but it will have to do. Bottom is chocolate cake filled w/strawberry reduction and chocolate Italian pastry cream, Top is browned butter pumpkin cake filled w/cream cheese and toffee pieces both covered in cream cheese frosting. Decided to play with wafer paper.

I think the birthday “girl” was happy with her cake.

Goreti, you do yourself an injustice, this cake is gorgeous! I love the beautiful and original texture on the buttercream and your poinsettias are wonderful! Did not realize they were wafer paper until I read your brief. The glittery balls just set off the whole design!
