This fantasy female bust was inspired by the symbolism and imagery of the Mexican celebration ‘Day of the Dead’.

She is made completely from cake with a little bit of RKT supporting her neck area. The goat skull is made from chocolate and she is adorned with sugar flowers, metallic studs and wafer paper feathers.

Her dress is stencilled wafer paper which has been treated in Flexique to make it behave more like fabric and trimmed with Cake Lace. She sports a rose tattoo on her shoulder which was painted with cocoa butter and dusts.

She won SILVER at the recent Cake International competition. 😊
