Incrediable India International Cake Collaboration

Incrediable India International Cake Collaboration

The first time I heard this theme,I was flooded with many different ideas. The confusion was cleared when I recollected the experience of hosting 40 foreigners at my place during my daughter’s wedding. It was so beautiful to see how each and every one of them had a different reason for finding our country so spectacular. That memory helped me finalize the theme for my cake.

What India has given to the world?
The bottom tier depicts the first university,Takshashila which is now a part of Pakistan post Independence but India was where it originated. Buddhism was one of India’s greatest boon to the world.
The next tier depicts the various colourful textiles and jute which are famous in certain regions of our country. In addition to this tier, we have a saree which was introduced in India to bring out the beauty and essence of a woman, expressing our culture and tradition.
The third tier depicts the spirituality which has spread throughout the world due to Om which is used for meditation and yoga to soothe our mind and body. The Ayurveda had been a symbol of hope for people suffering from health problems since ancient times.
The tier on the left is to appreciate the efforts of ISRO for bringing India to the forefront as one of the leading Space Research Organizations in the world.
The fifth tier depicts buttons that originated in our country initially using shells and conches. On the right we have a game of chess, which originate in the 6th century in the Gupta Empire.
The sixth tier is our great contribution of the number 0 in addition to the various arithmetic, trigonometric functions which was given to the world by renowned Indian mathematicians and also the beautiful world of Vedic Astrology was introduced by Indian Astrologist.
And how could we finish this list without covering our dream world of Bollywood which continues to enchant the heart and mind of millions and millions of people all over the world!
I was reminded of the rich culture and India’s contribution to the world in so many different ways and I truly believe that,
“Saare Jahaan se accha,Hindustan Humara!”
