It is such an honor to be a part of this collaboration to help raise awareness for EB. Alongside many amazing artists, we hoped to raise awareness for a horrible disease called Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB).
Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) is often described as, “The worst disease you’ve never heard of.” Those born with Epidermolysis Bullosa are often called “Butterfly Children” because as the analogy goes, their skin is as fragile as the wings of a butterfly. Imagine each day having to lance blisters and rebandage a child racked with pain. This year we’ve decided to honor the brave children and adults who deal with this disease every day in the best way we know: through cake artistry. This collaboration has been a labor of love.
