My modern take on a traditional clean wedding cake acts to surprise the viewer, by using bold and contrast colours
as well as the irregular silhouette of the overall design.

Loved experimenting with my favourite cake decorating material; Wafer paper.
Explored boundaries of the paper and created different textures
(lace effect, marble effect, crumpled fabric effect) on different layers – a modern twist on the material.
Creating rough surfaces with the paper on a smooth surface emphasizes the title.

I must say that I have deeply inspired by Maggie Austin’s creations. Her style is so modern nowadays.
