Angeli is a good friend from way back.I was given the honor to make her baby shower/birthday cake. She sent me an invite that had chevrons and a single blue balloon to welcome the newest addition to their family, Ethan. Using this invite as inspiration for the cake, I have incorporated all the elements that were in the invite but added a touch of chic by adding silhouettes of her and her little boy whose name happens to be Riley too. :) This cake was a wee bit challenging because I’ve never done chevrons and it took me way over 4 hours just to make and adhere the chevrons to the cake. Despite the challenges I really like how this cake turned out. Something different from your normal baby shower cake. The cake is an 8 in round vanilla with raspberry butter cream filling.
