I have made cakes that are squares, round and all types of shapes and sizes but I have always made them sitting flat or maybe tiered on one another but had never tried to STAND a round cake on its sides. This was made to order for an Elite special client who wanted me to surprise him. I did surprise him as he did not want to cut the cake and wondered how the cake was standing on its side. Moreover, the cake is decorated on both the sides…like two sides of a coin….so we can present it with two faces…
