I grew up with Mary Poppins, and still often find find singing the songs or quoting from the film. My favorite scene is the Jolly Holiday adventure inside the sidewalk chalk drawing. And the best part of that is the cute little penguins that dance with Bert and flirt with Mary.
I just had to recreate the waiter penguin, as a gravity defying cake, and yes, I named him Waddles. The cake board is a recreation, in chalk, of the chalkboard painting they jump through for their Jolly Holiday.
Waddles is made of chocolate cake, with vanilla buttercream filling and iced in chocolate ganache. He stands about 15" tall from toe to top of his head. Note that he is standing on one foot and leaning toward Mary (who is of course “off screen”)

Loving Mr. Waddles so much! Such a great interpretation of the movie. You have some serious sculpting, as well as drawing skills! Great job!
