As part of the Cake Page Circle Collaboration ‘Top of the World’, my piece is dedicated to my home town Adelaide and the 4 bronze pigs sculpture we have become famous for. The sculpture is called ‘A Day Out’ and consists of life size bronze pigs in various poses. Oliver is perched on a garbage bin sifting through rubbish for treats, Truffles is sniffing the ground, Augusta happily trots along and Horatio looks longingly at passersby for a pat or food. The bronze pigs are so popular that there are thousands of photos of them on social media. My cake has a mixture of 3D and 2D piggies. I chose to make Horatio as the 3D pig because there is something about his cheeky and devilish expression that endears me to him.
There are other wonderful, fun pieces in the collaboration that I encourage you to take the time to have a look at our Facebook page – CPC Groups 3rd Birthday
