Still Life - The Sunflowers - Birthday Cake

I really enjoyed making these sunflowers. My very first time to make. They were intimidating at first because of the size of each flower. I thought they would not hold up and would cave in on me. Luckily I managed to dry them in a more natural movement. -one of my favorite secrets now is the confectioner’s glaze, it makes and retains the shine on to any surface you paint it on!

I also found sunflowers not so easy to do, it’s the size I think that makes it cumbersome… but… by gosh… yours are incredible, beautiful movement and LOVE the design!! Wow!!
