Oh Canada! July 1st was Canada’s 150 years of confederation. 🇨🇦 My Canadiana creation begins with the Maple trunk. Trying to keep with the theme, it was a fudge cake with Laura Secord maple butter ~ buttercream and Laura Secord maple crunch chocolate bar filling (Canadian or what eh?) The maple leaf…our home and native land! It’s supposed to emulate painted barn board and the inside is a red and white checkerboard vanilla cake with raspberry coulis and cream cheese buttercream filling. The top tier…woolies! Chances are if you’re Canadian you’ve worn a pair or someone in your house hold has. It was a vanilla cake with chocolate ganache and vanilla buttercream filling. …and finally handmade sugar Canada 150 tulips (which were actually developed for the 150th celebration…so neat), to finish off the cake.
