I love the beautiful draping of saris. When I saw my inspiration, I was immediately captivated with the intertwining of the gold chains and fabric. My piece is entitled Zonira which means “precious”. Gold is a precious metal so I thought it fit this cake well! I entwined fondant chains, painted with gold luster and fondant swags to create the fabric effect on the bottom tier. I loved the effect so much, I wanted it to be the highlight of the cake and decided to only add a few dangling chains and gumpaste flowers with gold centers to accent the design.
