Kalaripayattu’ is basically martial arts that originated in our own Kerala….. The Warrior sword and Shield is one among the most important accessories in this art.
And when I was told that this amazing father who is turning 70 also runs a school for Kalaripayattu, I knew what I wanted to depict on the cake.

A free-hand cut sword and shield for the great Master. I put in colors that would bring in the Kerala tradition as that was the concept given. I hope I have done some justice to this little edible piece. Totally loved the concept and working on the same.
