Here is my contribution for the Steam Cakes – Steampunk Collaboration hosted by Carla Rodrigues. This was my first cake collaboration and it was an awesome experience to be in touch with the great artists of the group.

My innocent little one is sleeping peacefully without knowing what is waiting for her when she wakes up. The Baby in my creation represents all the girl children in the world and the gears shows the uncertainties of life. The gears are always moving, pushing the wheel of life and the little one’s world revolves and evolves around it. In today’s world, violence against girl children is increasing in every corner of the continents. Girls are getting abused, trafficked, exploited and attacked even without any consideration of their age. The pain is even more when we hear the news of exploitation of the minor girls who seldom realise what is happening to them. They don’t even know what is right or wrong. The exploiters playing with the “INNOCENCE” of these little angels……! Through my creation, I just want to scream for these innocent souls. Let’s stand united for the girl child. Let’s allow the little buds to bloom into beautiful flowers. Let’s allow her to touch the sky without any fear. Let’s pray for a brighter tomorrow – where each and every girl can wake up to a beautiful world……!!!
