My 1st naked cake made for a good friend of mine’s daughter’s baby shower. I was very pleased w/how it came out for being my very 1st one. Cake is 3 tiers, triple layers each tier (6", 8", 10") WASC w/almond buttercream. She had wanted fresh hydrangeas on it but after finding out they were toxic I advised against it so we went w/silk ones as an alternative. I doctored them up a bit w/some pearl dusts. The shower was yesterday at a well known country club in the area. It was very elegant. The highlight for me was when I was introduced to the caterer for the event and celebrity where I live, Natasha Clement, winner of Food Network’s “All Star Academy, Season 2”. She complimented me on the cake. Extremely proud moment when she said it was one of the prettiest ones if not the prettiest one she’s seen there!!
