Wedding Cakes Inspired by ‘Barbie’ fashion. A worldwide collaboration.

She’s been an icon since 1959 and loved by all! Her fashion designers are desired by many, and known by few. I am so honored to be part of this collaboration that features a Worldwide group of sugar artists that bring this collection of Wedding Cakes inspired by some of her Designers.

My design was inspired by the gown worn by the “Miss Karelia” doll which was inspired by a designer gown designed by Krikor Jabotian. The Fondant Ruffles and the Gold Filigree design with Sugar Crystal accents mimics the detail work on the gown and the bottom tier mimics the Gold faux leather boats that the doll is wearing.
