My piece for My Bulgaria Collaboration. As I was born in Bulgaria, Bulgarian history plays a very big part in my life. This is the reason why for my collaboration project I have chosen to make a bust of Khan Asparuh – the founder of the Bulgarian State.
Asparuh was а ruler of Bulgarians in the second half of the 7th century and is credited by the Byzantium Empire with the establishment of the First Bulgarian Empire in 681 AD. For the making of the bust, I have followed an art picture and a sculpture of Khan Asparuh as for the project I have used Rice Krispies Treats, modelling chocolate, Saracino modelling paste; Renshaw sugar paste and isomalt.
