This is my Gothic Faberge Egg.
I created this piece for the Bakerswood Challenge – Huevos De Pascua Estilo Faberge.
I chose to create a Faberge egg different from the usual eggs of the brand.
For this piece, I had as inspiration the romantic Gothic style. In this style it’s frequent to use lace, skulls, vintage jewelry. The colors chosen were black, burgundy and silver, usual colors of this style.
The egg is carved cake covered with Satin Ice sugar paste, the skull was made of chocolate ornamented with silver jewelry and painted in black.
The base of the piece and the egg were decorated with silver lace.
