I loved making this splash cake. The ‘splash’ effect is make of old fashioned, home made boiled sugar, coloured with a gel colour. I used edible wafer paper for the waves and painted them with gel colours. I used silver sugar crystals on the waves for a little sparkle. I used the remainder of the boiled sugar in the photo shoot as a prop (note the pool of “water" the cake stand is standing on). I hope you like it as much as I enjoyed making it.
