I was given free reign with design as long as it coordinated with the partyware. I needed to practice with fancier designs so was glad of the opportunity. First time quilting, first time with fondant/gumpaste flowers and ribbons, first dummy layer… first dehumidifier purchased to deal with the NC weather. ;)

The design was heavily influenced by Corrie Cakes’ Orange/Pink wedding cake. My favorite flowers are the purple ranunculus-like things. I really enjoyed using petal dusts to color the outer rose petals and leaves, but boy does it take forever!
