Hi everyone,

This cake was one of my biggest challenges so far for so many reasons, I was amazed and so grateful (to my husband primarily) that somehow I managed to pull it through! Firstly, making the horse proved to be much more difficult than I imagined but it was worth watching hours of sculpting videos on youtube ;-) The theme was also something I’ve never heard of before, a British series about the Manchester mafia gangs of the 1920’s so this was something I had to study too. The worst of all was that one day before delivery I got brutally sick with influenza, the worst i had in years. I was seriously thinking to call the client and cancel everything but I managed to get myself out of the bed late in the evening and worked nearly all night together with my husband, my partner in crime :-) He helped me with all the cut-outs that I had to paint and texture, didn’t come out perfect but the fact that we did it together was so rewarding!
The figurine represents the main character played by Cillian Murphy.
