Thrilled to be featured in the Cake Central Magazine Volume 8,Issue 1 in the Bernini inspired Apollo and Daphne series
Since I wanted to concentrate on Daphne’s agony in this Apollo and Daphne inspired cake; I chose to depict her with a downcast face and the heaviness of the tree to represent her helplessness and the desire to escape the undesirable attention of Apollo. I have kept the colour singular to match with the actual sculpture and the rough texture on the cake again has been chosen to match with the feeling of agony and pain.
