I am so sorry I haven’t been active for about a month and therefore missed posts of all those whom I follow religiously .There was a two week internet ban in my State due to communal problems and after that I hit Christmas baking which got a bit crazy this year .But back now 😍😍
This engagement cake was the last customised cake of the year 2016 which I made on 30 th Dec and one of my boldest not only because of the concrete grey colour but becauase it is my tallest cylinder standing at 11 inches .The inside frosting is actually cream with blueberry compote. I was petrified that it wouldn’t hold inspite of setting it overnight .The outside frosting is buttercream and I did achieve a sharp edge inspite of the soft cream inside.Have added 24 carat edible gold streaks and a single wafer paper flower ..I really wish I could have made one with gumpaste but there is a two month long economic blockade going on due to which I hardly have any ingredients.
