Home for the Holidays is a wonderful collection of magical Christmas stories by international cake artists, told through the medium of cake and sugar.

The story I chose to represent is a classic by Hans Christian Andersen – The Steadfast Tin Soldier. He is the last little tin soldier made from the set, and as there wasn’t enough tin to complete him he was made with just one leg. He falls in love with a paper ballerina who is also standing on one leg and together they go on an adventure. It’s a sad ending (spoiler alert) but a story of enduring love against the odds.
