A young cardinal was decorating a lamp post with holly twigs she found nearby when she saw Santa walking through the snow carrying his heavy bag of toys. The cardinal didn’t have cookies to offer Santa but she wanted to give him a gift of gratitude. She realized she could offer him one of her lovely holly sprigs. Santa stopped, set down his bag and rested for a moment to receive the gift from the sweet cardinal. Safe travels this year, Santa!

Santa and his bag are made from banana cake with Chocolate ganache filling. The lamp post is made from Simi Cakes & Confections isomalt and really lights. I used Flexique and Icing Images for the details including Santa’s outfit and the snow.
