I had the privilege of being part of this international public cake collaboration “Animal Rights”, hosted by Tartas Imposibles by Isabel Tamargo.

With my cookies I wanted to call awareness to the suffering of the monkeys, either for those held captive or being used for laboratory experiments.
The expression of deep sadness on their faces, is an alert for being denied a natural family life.
For these cookies I used Royal icing, and worked with it in order to give them a tridimensional effect and texture. My inspiration for my work came from pictures by National Geographic.
