I’m so glad to have my “Welcome Home” Winter Wedding Cake featured in the cover of the second issue of Cake International MAgazine. I´ve decided to make a two sided cake to make a two in one decorated cake. You can decorate the snow flakes part and add a house and a tree on top if you like isolated places or you can use the village effect adding houses on each tier of cake. Or both if you prefer as I did but I’m sure you like more one side than the other. Which one do you prefer?
The cake is ganached with an ombre effect imitating the winter sky and decorated with tempered chocolate, wafer paper and royal icing. 100% edible decoration. Chocolate is my favorite thing in the world as it’s the tastiest that’s why I like to add tempered chocolate in the cake designs. I love working with wafer paper as it is so light, quick to work with and so delicate. Royal icing is the perfect snow touch. I hope you like it.
You can learn about how to reproduce this design with complete step by step and templates in the second issue of Cake International Magazine. You can learn there about other fantastic designs such the OUTSTANDING dogs from Emma Jayne
and some caketastic tips to make your 3D cakes the most terrific ever!! If I were you I would be subscribed.
