So, this is what happens when “Anubis”, the Ancient Egyptian god, decides to throw a Halloween party at his tomb. I guess they went a little wild with the graffiti on the walls .. the sheesha and the drinks which Mr. & Mrs. Skeleton seem to enjoy …but overall I’m pretty sure there were no police involved! :)
“Anubis” is a cake bust and the head is RK. It was all covered in modelling chocolate except the hair and accessories which was fondant. The eyes were made from simi isomalt. The board and the walls were hand painted and airbrushed to get the graffiti effect. I wanted to make a fun ancient Egyptian Halloween party cake with no blood involved and this is what I came up with. I hope you will like it and Happy Halloween everyone. As for myself,
my name is Ghada Elsehemy, Egyptian/Canadian cake decorator, owner of Tortaya cakes and sweets and a cake event planner. I’ve always enjoyed baking but it wasn’t till 5 years ago when I started decorating cakes. I teach baking classes and cake decoration for kids. I was honoured to be one of the organizers in the first cake event ever in Egypt and was featured in some of the magazines and newsletter in Egypt, Canada and America.
