I had never heard of the term Rainbow Baby until I was asked to make this baby shower cake.
A rainbow baby is a baby you have after losing a child. “After the storm comes the rainbow of hope.” I was honored to make it as I had made this client’s baby shower cake for her first child who she lost.
There was also a surprise inside the cake…a rainbow heart inside.
This is why we cakers do what we do, I’m convinced of it.
