For a mom who told me she wanted a simple design – she chose me for the taste of the cake and didn’t want anything elaborate. So I drew something simple & thank goodness – when I delivered the cake she said she didn’t even want a character theme for the party but felt she had to – the room was very beautifully but simply decorated in only black, white, & red. The invite featured the black & white stripes that I used as inspo for the cake board that I created from masking tape & posterboard. I was thankful I didn’t have any yellow ribbon when she told me when I delivered the cake “oh, I love it! I’M so glad there’s no yellow – I hate yellow!”
And she added “it’s a perfect hipster kid cake” 😎😎😎😎 I left feeling pretty cool 😘😘😘😘
