I wanted to make a Harry Potter inspired wedding cake for the Quirky Wedding Fair I take part in twice a year, but I wanted to make it different to those I have seen before and I love the vintage suitcase stacked cakes so I amalgamated the two ideas and came up with this. Suitcase and vanity case stack using Gryffindor colours, some worn antiqued look books, his and hers wands, golden snitch, personalised Daily Prophet, Mauraders map and decorative accessories, all made from sugarpaste/gumpaste.

I adored making this and it was the talk of my exhibition stand.
