This is my 1st fondant decor Cake & its really close to my heart.Its a simple buttercream frosted cake & decorate with fondant accent. Made to celebrate one of our regional festival.. “DURGA PUJA”. I use only my kitchen knife,2 round piping tips and a one flower plunger ( actually den i hv only dat much tools, still I use very less tools in my work.No moulds for modelling..all hand crafted)..I remember I worked for whole nite to do this simple fondant (whole nite for this simple work…“Really”, as it takes hardly an hour or 2 now) & morning send to my Hubby’s office. Waited whole day for the review….but its my bad luck…I got so much “corrections” for this cake….some said ‘this’ n some ‘dat’…as m new n not so famous dat time….In India people look at us as a “baker”..who make cakes out of egg,flour,sugar & butter..but not as an ARTIST..sometime I feel why “I born here”..but its your destiny…which you can’t change…so enjoying my work in my way n struggling being an Indian Cake Artist….living with my passion…
