I tried a new recipe for a family get together last weekend, banana choco hazelnut cake. It was awesome!! It is banana cake with chocolate ganache and Nutella SMBC and then I put praline hazelnut pieces around the base of it.

Initially the get together was planned because my boyfriend’s sister was home from NC so I was using the opportuity to test the new recipe and had no intentions of doing any decorating on the cake. Then his sister decided to turn it in to a retirement party for their dad so I found a simple idea to make it retirement themed.
