This cake was made for a beautiful young lady called Rose. I asked to have a reminder for her birthday 2 weeks prior. But at a family dinner last week on friday I was informed the cake was required for sunday! Friday night was out so i started this saturday night, sunday I was teaching sugar roses, so couldn’t work on it until after the class.. It was very rushed.. 5 hours I think maybe 5 and a half.. to decorate the whole thing. and they picked it up 20 minutes after i added the last petals lol!
All freeform petals but couldn’t use normal spoons as they were too big, I used ladles among other things i could find around the house big enough to form them on.
I really was pleased with how it turned out and can’t wait to make some more and use some different flowers too.
This one had to be white as all of Roses Corsages for the balls this year have been white. I would love to make some in more popping colours. But that will have to be for next time.
