Beautiful and sophisticated are the Dutch duo Viktor & Rolf’s fashion designs. My inspiration piece, “Pierrot” from the Spring/Summer 2008 collection, a cotton-candy pink quilted dress with a foot-long three-dimensional violin attached to the neckline, was saved till the end of the show. This piece paid tribute to Marcel Marceau, the celebrated French clown, and the art of pantomime.
