Today I had the most ruthless client. For the most part all my clients are friendly respectful and fun to work with, but this girl, she’s a doozy! Last week when we discussed her cake. She told me what flavors she wanted and her design. I let her know, I’ve got quite a few big events next week but I will make sure to do it for you. She began speaking to me about a party and I reminded her she didn’t really have much money to do so and my husband and I weren’t ready for a party with school starting and all.
Anyway, this morning when we spoke, she asked me where her cupcakes were. “What cupcakes?” I said, “you did not contribute funds nor notify me of these cupcakes. I will have your cake for you tomorrow” she was HYSTERICAL  " I want my cake today! I planned my surprise party and we need cake. The prettiest cake ever. Put a face on it! Like me, pretty."
Me: okay 😝

The day goes on, I work all day to complete this cake before my kids get home from school and she arrives with a gang of kids, wanting cake?

Me: who are all of these people?
Ruthless Client : they are here for my party
Me: what party? All you had was 4$ and I told you we can’t plan a quick party especially in the middle of the week.
Ruthless Client: well they are all staying for dinner
Me: 😢😵
 I sent my son to the Papa Murphys to grab dinner and a soda and we quick cooked pizza while her friends waited.

After the surprise (to me) party I pulled the cake out and she says

Ruthless Client: it is soooo ugly! This is not at all what I wanted!

She complained about the colors, the designs, too much chocolate, the cake board presentation and even the pizza we bought!

I want to tell her to go to Walmart from now on for cakes — iced only in black and red icing for that matter 😖😖 but I can’t because my husband would kick my butt if I made any of our kids get Walmart cakes.
 I’VE CREATED A MONSTER!!!!😖😖😖😖😖 she’s an insatiable cake tyrant 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Take a good look at this face, don’t let the fact that she is just 7 years old fool you. She will take nothing less than perfect for a cake and she doesn’t have a job so she has a pretty low budget for custom work.
