Val has a Birthday today and she keeps chickens, so her husband Andy asked me to make her a ‘comical chicken’ cake.
Well……. I did a lot of google searching and decided rather than do the usual egg or crossing the road related cake I’d try and come up with something a little different.
Also I remembered there was a knitting chicken in the film ‘chicken run’….. and I thought it’d be good to turn things round were Mr Fox is concerned for a change.
So Mrs Chicken is enjoying an afternoon knitting with a nice tea and biscuits and her feet up on the fox skin rug.

The cake is Tiramisu layer cake (the chicken is formed from a polystyrene egg!!)
