This was a Mother’s Day cake where I did the Swiss Meringue buttercream stripe technique and adorned the cake with a beautiful array of colorful handcrafted gum paste hydrangeas, a Happy Mother’s Day fondant/gumpaste plaque and a border of fondant pearls. The second photo shows how awesome the striping looks on a piece of cake!
