a cpc cake collaboration featuring the fashion and design of the 1950 era…full skirts and a change from the austerity of the 1940’s to the bright colour after the second world war, My piece was based off a 1951 couture dress by Balenciaga as featured above. I wanted to try something new with my design so I drew the features and added three dimensional elements like the hair and pearls, edible lace and hat. Thank you Susan for heading this collaboration
