Last month I had the very great pleasure of taking Liz Marek’s Fairy Bust class here in Sydney. I have become mildly obsessed with modelling, and I jumped at the chance to take instruction from such an incredible artist.

As you would expect, I took what I learned, and put my own spin on Liz’s Fairy design, making her a Celtic Warrior, complete with freckles!

She is hand sculpted from modelling chocolate, with fondant hair, and details, and rice paper/gelatin wings. Most of the bodice detail is hand sculpted.

It was an absolute blast, and I can’t wait to get more into modelling!
