This was a quick little (somewhat last minute) cake I made to celebrate Canada Day. There were only 4 of us for supper so it didn’t need to be very big. Lots of room for improvement, but I was still happy with it and my friends thought it was cool.

The cartoon on top is drawn with edible markers and is based on one I saw online. For anyone not aware, the beaver is our national animal. I had intended to make a stencil to do the plaid pattern but in a time crunch I had to free hand it. I’m still getting used to my airbrush so it definitely could be better. The surprise inside flag worked well but the stripes on the sides should have been taller. I know what to change for another time….
