This is the piece that I made for the Sweet Summer Collaboration. With this cake I tried to portray my dream Summer holiday – Hawaii. For the design of this cake I took inspiration from the amazing pop art of Kimo from Kimo Studios, an artist who has lived in Hawaii most of his life.

All decorations on this cake were done in sugar paste or gum paste apart from the white spray of the wave which was done in royal icing.

It was a real privileged to be part of the first public collaboration sponsored by Isabel Tamargo, who managed to unite more than 200 artists to celebrate the beginning of summer.
