This was for a 9 year old with sophisticated tastes! She’s a big David Bowie fan so I used the lyrics to ‘Starman’ around the sides of the cake and then hand-painted a silhouette picture of the man himself on a separate cake board to go on top, so she could keep it after. The brief was for it still to be pink and pretty so I just used dust on the edges of the board to soften it a bit.
