Sheldon is my sugar version of a desert tortoise, or gopherus agassizii. They are native to the Mojave and Sonoran desert regions and have been greatly impacted by the amount solar and wind farms cropping up over the area. The land is prime for such clean energy efforts, but unfortunately, these guys are paying the price. Though relocation efforts are being made, it is often unsuccessful.
