This cake was a BIG one! And, a fun one.

Picture this: a client who runs a hockey team wanted a slab cake for the team’s end of season awards night, and wanted the cake to represent the locker room that the players in. All of the players on this team sit in the EXACT same spot every Friday night. This was a little challenging as I had to create a named jersey for every player, and there were 28 of them !!! Not only that but because of where they sit I had to have one length of the cake with 12 jerseys along the edge. As a result, the cake was 2 feet long! The team organizer also rolls out a carpet with the team’s corporate logos on it so those had to be on the cake too.

And just in case you’re thinking I lost my mind because one poor guy’s jersey is stuck in the middle of the cake, that’s because his jersey hangs on a short wall that sticks out into the room! And as it says on the entrance to the Chicago Blackhawks dressing room, this ‘Local Blackhawks’ organizer wanted the same saying put onto this cake: “To Whom Much Is Given, Much Is Expected”
