This is my first painted wedding cake. I was so nervous but I absolutely loved how it came out. I covered the cake with a medium shade of blue fondant and then painted the royal blue base coat and added the other colours. All the “painting” was done using scrunched up paper towels. The most fun part was putting on the stars. Getting to just flick paint on a cake without it having to be precise is sooooo relaxing! :D

The constellations on the cake were the ones visible the night of the wedding. I’m not a fan of these upside down hanging cakes (even though I’ve been getting lots of orders for them) but I do love this one.
