This cake was for a wedding on Easter Sunday and unsurprisingly encompassed an Easter/Spring theme!
I absolutely adored making all the flowers and they kept me busy for some time!! There are daffodils, pink and yellow roses and buds, tulips, red and yellow primroses, crocus, freesias, snowdrops, bluebells and daisies plus plenty of greenery. Over half of these were new to me, having never made them before. There were 120 blooms in all!
Top tier light fruit cake, followed by all chocolate, then butterscotch sponge with vanilla buttercream, and the largest tier, vanilla sponge with raspberry buttercream.
I don’t hint this cake may just be my new favourite……😉
