I chose ET because I have such fond memories of my brothers and I lying out on a blanket in front of the car at the drive-in (yes we had drive-in movies) I grew up in South Africa where we had the weather to lie out at night (getting away from the snogging teenagers in the car) and get totally immersed in a movie. ET had it all, and my own children loved it too when I introduced it to them, there really is something for everyone in it. I still love ET, maybe it’s because of the lovely memories it brings back, or maybe it really is just that good. It’s a lovely opportunity to cast my mind back through rose coloured glasses and remember a simpler time…. #wbw80s #backtothe80s

Sheer perfection. You can see the love that has gone into this and sure all the lovely childhood memories came flooding back while working … I grew up in Zimbabwe with many dive-in trips with packed picnic baskets mum did for us. Then when I went to live in South Africa, drive-in became a family favourite with my boys and kept the picnic tradition going, great on those warm balmy nights with blankets outside under the stars!!
