Fancy Nancy was my contribution to the Cuties Children’s Books Collaboration that can be found at www.facebook.com/cuties-childrens-books-collaboration
I knew immediately that I wanted to do Fancy Nancy as my subject but I had a hard time finding inspiration for the cake. Until I wok up one morning and had my ah-ha moment: Make a cake that Nancy herself would want. So I made the fanciest cake I could dream up!
I used Cake Opera Co’s signature style as my inspiration – especially her Marie Antoinette Cake (after all Marie Antoinette is the 1st Fancy Nancy right?!) I also used a ballet slipper tutorial by Peggy does Cake. And I watched all of McGreevy Cakes tutorials on 2D cake painting.
Thank you for the opportunity to share!
Gorgeous cake, well done!
